A guide for authors

 

  1. Rules for sending articles

1.1 The editorial board of the scientific journal "Industrial Transport of Kazakhstan" considers only previously unpublished author's materials – scientific (practical) articles, reviews (review articles) corresponding to the subject of the journal in Kazakh, Russian and English.

1.2 The manuscript should be designed in accordance with the Rules for the design of articles.

1.3 An electronic version of the manuscript prepared according to the Rules, with a scanned copy of the review, is sent via the website https://prom-trans.mtgu.edu.kz / the "SUBMIT ARTICLE" button by one of the authors.

1.4 The author of the correspondence is highlighted by the envelope icon. The article should have no more than 5 authors.

 

  1. Rules for the design of articles

2.1 The material of the article – the text, including the abstract in Kazakh, Russian and English, the list of references, figures, figure captions and tables, is made out in one file in *.RTF or *.DOCX formats, saved in the Microsoft Word text editor no lower than the 2013 version, because due to differences in versions Microsoft Word has a problem with the lack of spaces between words. Files saved in other formats are not accepted.

2.2 The materials submitted for publication must meet the following requirements:

- the volume of the manuscript is 5-8 pages (review articles 8-10 pages), font size – 12 (Times New Roman). Margins – upper and lower – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm. The number of drawings is 5-10. Line spacing is single;

- the structure should correspond to the international formula IMRAD, where I – Introduction (introduction), M – Methods (methods), R – Results (research), A – and, D – Conclusion+ Discussion (conclusion, discussion of results and conclusions);

- the title should be concise and reflect the essence of the work. The use of abbreviations in the name is not allowed. The title should be informative (one of the main requirements of international information databases);

- the abstract should reflect the main key content of the article and the corresponding scientific research: relevance, subject, objectives, goals, methods, results, conclusions and suggestions: the abstract in Kazakh and Russian, English (Abstract) languages should contain no more than 300 words and should not repeat the title of the article;

It is recommended to use GOST 7.9-95 to compile the annotation. Summary and abstract. General requirements.

2.3 Keywords – at least 5-7 keywords or short phrases, should reflect the main content of the article, its methodology. The keywords in the article should be listed in the order of their importance.

2.4 Abbreviations and symbols are allowed only abbreviations of measures, physical, chemical and mathematical quantities, terms, etc. accepted in the international system of units. One should limit oneself to generally accepted abbreviations and avoid introducing new abbreviations without sufficient reason. The abbreviations entered must be deciphered.

2.5 The dimension of all values accepted in the article must comply with the International System of Units of Measurement (SI) in accordance with GOST 8.417-2002. The state system of ensuring the uniformity of measurements. Units of values.

2.6 The bibliographic list is given at the end of the article strictly in the order of mention in the text. Square brackets are used for references to literary sources – [1], [4,5]. The bibliographic description of each source should correspond to the description of the source on the back of its title page, indicating the city, publisher, year of issue, number of pages. The list of references should be presented in the language in which the article is written, the generally accepted English transliteration (http://translit.ru ).

2.7 Graphs and drawings, diagrams, photographs are also duplicated as separate files, where they must be presented in the original format (for example, diagrams in a Microsoft Excel file in a version not lower than 2013, and not as an image or picture). Image files must be in raster (JPEG, TIFF, BMP) or vector (EPS, CDR, AI) formats, without LZW compression; images must be layered, vector fonts converted to curves. The format of the images submitted to the editor should allow their editing and translation of the legend, captions, and designations.

2.8 Each illustration, diagram, drawing must be numbered using end-to-end numbering from the beginning of the article and must have a caption or the name of the table.

2.9 For large-scale illustrations and tables, it is allowed to create a separate horizontally oriented section (pages in the text). Illustrations, diagrams must be made using computer graphics, hand-made and scanned illustrations are not allowed (except for unique drawings, diagrams, projects of promising developments). The volume of illustrations is taken into account in the total volume of the article.

2.10 All complex formulas in the article should be typed using standard Microsoft Office formula editors, in a single format that does not exceed the size of the main text, placed in the center of the sheet, should be entered in a single-line table with invisible borders and have end-to-end numbering in parentheses after each formula. For example,

Simple formulas (or designations of mathematical quantities in the text) must be typed as follows: Latin characters — in italics, Russian, Kazakh letters and functions, for example sin, — in regular font (direct font), Greek — in Symbol font (direct font).

Formulas should make maximum use of generally accepted Latin characters, including as indexes. Authors who consider it necessary to preserve the Russian-language spelling of formulas should offer the editorial board options for its execution in international script (the editorial board reserves the right to translate formulas into Latin transcription for the English version).

2.11 The use of scanned illustrations, diagrams (except for unique drawings, diagrams, projects of promising developments), graphs, tables and formulas is not allowed.

 

  1. The structure of the manuscript

The structure of the article is built strictly in the following order:

3.1 The UDC number is in strict accordance with the Universal Decimal Classification (in the upper left corner).

3.2 Information about the authors, including the full name of each author, the academic degree, position, place of work/study (organization, department, department), e–mail address (email) in Russian, Kazakh and English, ORCID.

3.3 The title of the article is centered, in bold and capital letters.

3.4 Abstract – no more than 300 words.

3.5 Keywords – at least 5-7 words.

3.6 The full text of the article, corresponding to the international formula IMRAD (issued in the language of writing the article).

3.7 Brief output data about the article (information about the authors, including the surname, first name and patronymic of each author – in full (without abbreviations), academic degree, position, place of work/study (organization, department, department), e-mail address (email); abstract and keywords) are presented in the state language, in Russian and English, while in the case of submitting a manuscript in one language, short output data are indicated only in the other two languages.

3.8 The list of references in strict order according to numbering in the language of the article and the generally accepted English transliteration with the translation of the names of literary sources into English.

 

  1. Mandatory accompanying documents

4.1 The full text of the manuscript with a volume of 6-8 pages, including the article components: references in the original language and in Latin, annotations and keywords in the language of the manuscript and in English translation, made in full in accordance with the requirements for formatting in Word and PDF, with the signatures of all authors on each page of the text.

4.2 Information about the authors in Kazakh, Russian and English. For foreign authors in English.

4.3 A review certified by the seal of the organization in any form (scanned copy).

4.4 For each author (co-author) studying for a master's degree or PhD, the list of mandatory documents sent to the editorial office additionally includes a recommendation from the student's supervisor in any form indicating the topic of the final work (dissertation) and a specific personal contribution to scientific research.

4.5 On a separate page after the article:

1) Contacts of the authors: Full name – mobile, work and home phone numbers, fax, e-mail address (email), full postal address (when paying for the shipment).

2) Contacts of the author on whose behalf the payment will be made: Surname, full name, INN, mobile, work and home phone numbers, e-mail, full postal address with an index (for registration of the contract).

3) The title of the article, the full name of the authors – in lowercase letters in three languages (English, Russian, Kazakh).
