Retraction of an article from publication

Review of the article from publication

The material is based on the "Rules of review" (retraction) of the article from the publication of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (HENRI) and describes the procedure for eliminating violations in scientific materials published by the publishing house (https://rasep.ru/sovet-po-etike/pravilo-otzyva-retragirovaniya-stati-ot-publikatsii ).

The withdrawal of the article from publication is aimed at correcting the published information and notifying readers that the publication contains significant flaws or erroneous data that cannot be trusted.

Retraction is also used to warn readers about cases of duplicate publications (when authors present the same data in several publications), plagiarism and conceal conflicts of interest that could affect the interpretation of data or recommendations on their use.

The review of the article (retraction) is carried out at the official request of the editorial board of the journal or the author.

Grounds for revocation of the article:

Detection of incorrect borrowings (plagiarism) in publications;

Duplication of an article in several editions;

Detection of falsifications or fabrications in the work (for example, falsification of experimental data);

The discovery of serious errors in the work (for example, incorrect interpretation of the results), which casts doubt on its scientific value;

Incorrect composition of authors (there is no one who deserves to be an author; persons who do not meet the criteria of authorship are included);

Hidden conflict of interest (and other violations of publication ethics);

Republishing articles without the author's consent;

The article has not been reviewed

What steps should be taken to withdraw an article from publication?

If the author/staff finds it necessary to withdraw the article, they contact the editorial office, explaining the reason for their decision. If the editorial board does not respond to such a request, it is appropriate to contact the Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications by e-mail ethics@rasep.ru . If the editorial board responds to the authors and agrees to the retraction, then it independently deals with the text retraction.

If the editorial board decides to withdraw the text based on its expertise or information received by the editorial board, it is important to inform the authors/team of authors about the decision. The author (the lead author, in the case of collective authorship) must necessarily be familiar with the wording justifying the retraction of the article.

 If the author/author's team ignores the editorial board's request, it is appropriate to seek help from the Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications.

Having decided to withdraw the article, the editorial board indicates the reason for the retraction (in case of plagiarism, indicating the sources of borrowing), as well as the date of retraction. The article and the description of the article remain on the journal's website as part of the corresponding issue of the journal, but the electronic version of the text is marked WITHDRAWN/RETRACTED and the date of retraction, the same mark is placed with the article in the table of contents of the issue. A simple mechanical deletion of an article from the electronic version of journals and from the archive on the journal's website is incorrect. The texts of the withdrawn articles should remain where they were previously with the appropriate mark.

Information about the withdrawn articles is transmitted to the NCGNTE of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to the Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications of HENRI and to the NEB (e-library.ru ), information about the article and the full text remain on e-library.ru , but supplemented with information about retraction.

Payment for the publication of the retracted articles is not refundable.
